This paper intends to help teachers at Portland Christian High School in creating a program consisting of lesson plans and class discussions that will help integrate international students within their new American culture. Previous research is used to explain why each part of the proposed program is essential in helping international students successfully adapt. Materials discussed in this proposal include information about international and host country students, stressors that can challenge successful enculturation, and ways international students can successfully and positively ineract with their new culture.
