Informing others about Autism through Multidisciplinary Research
Portland State University (AASPIRE)
Multidisciplinary Research Focused on Disability Communities
The organization AASPIRE's (Academic-Autistic Spectrum Partnership in Research and Education) goal is to better support and educate our community about the Autistic community. Interning at this organization, I was a part of this goal through my three projects where I created a flyer on the Barriers to Healthcare Autistic people face, collected data on different organizations that support Autistic people and potential partners that could help test employment intervention, and formatted a informative web page for the AASPIRE website. I hope the work that I have put in this summer not only impacts the lives of others, but has an impact on the community as a whole.
